I’ll be taking the truck to the first car show of the year this weekend (2 days from now). So I’m working on cleaning up any loose ends that are easy. As I mentioned in my last blog post, the headlights have been bugging me. 4 different headlights, one of which was plastic and had turned yellow. 3 of them were cracked due to rock chips. And the bezels were chipped and pitted.
Here’s our before picture, I had one Wagner incandescent, one Wagner Halogen, and one Sylvania incandescent and one Sylvania halogen. Goofy, clearly replaced one at a time as they burned out, over the years.
The bezels were pretty dirty, so I washed them. Literally in the kitchen sink with a wash rag. If I cared more, I’d have sanded them down, but I hate sanding things with a passion, so that was not an option.
Here we are all done. Pardon the harsh lighting, the weather is good this summer. Anyways, they’re all the same brand and series. The inboard two are high beam only, while the outter two are high/low beam combo. After looking at this picture, I may go back out and see if I can tweak the driver’s side high beam a couple degrees counter-clockwise, it looks crooked. :)
